Zongolica (pronounced sohng-goh-LEE-kah). Grown by Woman Power Zongolica WPZ
All the way from the Veracruz region of Mexico we have this spectacular microlot. It's produced in Zongolica by Nahuas communities including women producer groups known as 'Woman Power Zongolica' or WPZ.
The crop is washed and then sun dried on the terraces around these farms which help give us a taste profile of tropical fruits, rich caramel, soft chocolate, and a gentle floral finish
We normally name our coffees after ancient Irish female legends but this time we're celebrating the many women who harvest these coffee cherries by hand in the Veracruz highlands of Mexico.
