Bébó (pronounced Bay-boh) is our house blend from Brazil, Kenya and Sumatra, Malaysia. 2022 winner of both two-star Great Taste Award and Gold Blas na hEireann (Irish Food Awards), the flavour profile is full-bodied and syrupy, with notes of milk chocolate, plum jam and butterscotch.

We get these flavours by combining the rich, full bodied and chocolatey profile of the Brazilian bean with the sweetness of the Sumatran bean and the big punch of flavour of the Kenyan bean.

"Excellent coffee... Each source of beans brings something totally characteristic of the three regions. The Brazil is the drum beat that keeps the story rolling, the Kenya is the rhythm that adds a further degree of complexity, then the Sumatran a spicy top line that takes the finish to a balanced whole with interest and character in every mouthful."

Bebo, meaning loved one, is named after the beautiful fairy queen to King Iubhdán, bringer of prosperity to Ulster, from 13th century story Eisert.
