Maev (also spelled Maeve or Medb and pronounced 'Mave' ) is our latest house coffee blend which launched on 13th April.
This time we've blended coffee from Brasil, Colombia as well as a special bean from the Oromia highlands of Ethiopia. The tasting notes have the classic smooth chocolate profile of an Italian roast but this time we have a gentle roasted nut taste as the coffee cools.
As a new house blend this coffee is another from our stable that works well in all of the classic drinks. So, if you like a classic Americano, Latte, Flat White or simply an Espresso, this coffee delivers the flavour you need. Likewise from Bean to Cup coffee machines to a stove top pot we've tested and tasted to make sure you keep that classic Italian roast profile.
Maev is a traditional Irish name meaning 'intoxicating' and 'she who rules'. It derives from the legendary warrior Queen Medb of Connact. The name can also be spelled Medb or Meadhbh.
