Happy Irish Coffee Day.
We've got a little recipe below for making the classic Irish Coffee. Hope you enjoy.
175 ml black coffee made in a cafetiere or a stovetop pot. We think our Ciara coffee is ideal for this.
2 tbsp double cream
50ml Bushmills whiskey
½ - 1 tsp brown sugar
Freshly grated nutmeg
i) Make your coffee and pour it into a mug or glass cup.
ii) Add the whiskey and sugar and give it a stir.
iii) Whip the cream until it begins to thicken then gently add to the coffee (we drizzle it over an upturned spoon).
iv) Sprinkle a small amount of nutmeg on top and enjoy.
